About our Team
Our Global Markets (‘GM’) team services financial institutions, corporates, asset managers and hedge funds around the world. We act as market makers, trading in equity and fixed income securities, including currencies, interest rates and credit in cash, derivatives and structured products.
About the Program
Being part of our Women’s Graduate Internship program means you will gain first-hand experience and insights to a career in markets, in one of the world’s key financial hubs – Hong Kong. You will have the opportunity to feel our culture, acquire valuable on-the-job training and expand your network. At the end of the 12-weeks program, full-time offers will be extended to strong performers to commence work immediately in either our Hong Kong or Singapore office.
The Graduate Internship will run from February to May 2020 in our Hong Kong office. You will be provided with a brief orientation, followed by on-going training on the desk. You will join one of the teams in GM, ranging from Sales & Trading, Structuring, Execution Services and Research. Our goal is to give you with a meaningful experience and help you develop by providing you with diverse responsibilities throughout the program.
About You
At Nomura, our goal is to attract and develop exceptionally talented people who share our passion for individual excellence and our commitment to teamwork. You are a student who is graduating in 2019 and has a keen interest to work in Asia. You have outstanding academic and extra-curricular achievement, and can withstand the rigors of a rapidly changing, demanding but ultimately rewarding environment.
You are someone with a personality, good communicator and a keen interest in business and finance (though you may not have studied this before). Other common traits amongst our team are intelligence, curiosity, diligence, integrity and the willingness and capability to thrive under a challenging environment.

We welcome diversity in our teams and would encourage students from all background and disciplines to apply. You must be graduating in 2019 and available from February to May 2020 for the program. Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
