About our Team
Nomura’s Global Markets (‘GM’) business financial institutions, corporates, governments, asset managers and hedge funds around the world. We act as market makers, trading in equity and fixed income securities, including currencies, interest rates and credit in cash, derivatives and structured products.
About the Program
Being part of our Graduate Internship program means you will gain first-hand experience and insights to a career in markets. You will have the opportunity to feel our culture, acquire valuable on-the-job training and expand your network. At the end of the 12-week program, full-time offers will be extended to strong performers return in August 2022.
The Graduate Internship will run from March to May 2022 in our Singapore office. You will be provided with a brief orientation, followed by on-going training on the desk. You will join one of the teams in GM, ranging from Sales, Structuring, Execution Services and Research. Our goal is to give you with a meaningful experience and help you develop by providing you with diverse responsibilities throughout the program.
About You
At Nomura, our goal is to attract and develop exceptionally talented people who share our passion for individual excellence and our commitment to teamwork. You are a student who is graduating in 2021 and has a keen interest to work in Asia. You have outstanding academic and extra-curricular achievement, and can withstand the rigors of a rapidly changing, demanding but ultimately rewarding environment.
You are someone with a personality, good communicator and a keen interest in business and finance (though you may not have studied this before). Other common traits amongst our team are intelligence, curiosity, diligence, integrity and the willingness and capability to thrive under a challenging environment.
Eligibility
We welcome diversity in our teams and would encourage students from all background and disciplines. Candidates applying for this program must be graduating in 2021, available to commit for the entire duration of the Graduate Internship (March to May 2022) and commence for Graduate Analyst Program in early August 2022. Fluency in written and spoken English is required, while additional Asian language skills will be a value-add.
